Experts are professionals (lawyers, financial planners, notaries, accountants) you invite to your account. They can upload documents directly to specific folders, ensuring important files are always up to date.

Only you. Passwords are encrypted end-to-end and even Life After Me staff cannot read them. You may, however, grant a Trusted Appointee access so they can close or manage your accounts after your death (e.g., social media, online banking, email).

When you pass away, your Trusted Appointees (up to 5) are notified. They must confirm your passing with a valid death certificate. Once verified, only the documents and memories you marked for “after death” become available.

• Mixing files can create confusion.

• 2FA and login details become complicated.

• Private messages meant for one person could be exposed to another.

No. Payments are processed via Stripe, a leading secure payment gateway. Life After Me never stores your credit card or banking information. In the Netherlands, you can also pay via iDEAL.

Yes. Life After Me is a Dutch company and all data is hosted on Microsoft Azure EU servers. This means your files are covered by European data protection laws (GDPR). You remain the owner of your data, and you can delete your account and all files at any time.
