• Mixing files can create confusion.

• 2FA and login details become complicated.

• Private messages meant for one person could be exposed to another.

Best practice: each partner has their own account, with mutual Trusted Appointee access.

No. Payments are processed via Stripe, a leading secure payment gateway. Life After Me never stores your credit card or banking information. In the Netherlands, you can also pay via iDEAL.

Yes. Life After Me is a Dutch company and all data is hosted on Microsoft Azure EU servers. This means your files are covered by European data protection laws (GDPR). You remain the owner of your data, and you can delete your account and all files at any time.

• Trusted Appointee: A family member or friend you want to access your files (up to 5 people). Their role is personal and emotional — they receive your legacy and memories.

• Expert: A professional (lawyer, notary, advisor) who can upload and manage documents (up to 3). Their role is practical — ensuring legal, tax, and business files are up to date.
